Joe Barnes’s Search for the Steep – Ep#1

Joe Barnes takes up the challenge to find the most technically difficult and steepest trails he can find, and then smash down them. Hopefully in one piece.

Earlier in the year Red Bull challenged Joe Barnes to travel Europe to find the most technically challenging and steepest trails imaginable – and then fling himself down them. With the help of some special guests, and a sprinkling of local knowledge, Joe set about searching them out.

In episode one, he travelled to the Portuguese island of Madeira to hook up with fellow Enduro World Series racer, Iago Garay. Barnes had vague memories of visiting the trails around the area as a child but would that translate into flat-out riding? Check out the video in the player above to find out.
