Uberbike Components Radiator Rotors – First Look
We’ve just fitted some Uberbike Components new Radiator Rotors to one of our test bikes. Rotors that look as good as they perform?
If they are good enough for the Steve Peat Syndicate then they are good enough for us. That’s what we figured anyway. Uberbike Components who are supporting the Syndicate and will be equipping their fleet of bikes with these stunning Radiator Rotors, know their onions when it comes to the braking world and we were definitely due a set of new discs on one of our test bikes.

Features
– Custom 1050 grade alloy heat dissipation radiator fins for highly efficient transfer of heat. One of the highest thermally conductive heat transfer materials available, helping reduce brake temperature by approx 30%. Lightweight CNC machined aerospace grade 7075 alloy carrier with weight relief pockets on rear. Mud shedding brake band design with coloured stainless steel joining rivets. Road and MTB compatible.
– Benefits of use – Floating rotor design allows expansion of the brake surface under high temperature operation without warping, increased rigidity, and improves heat dissipation, combined with the additional efficient heat dissipation from the alloy fins, further reducing brake rotor temperature and helping maintain consistent brake performance with longer pad life. Combine this with our finned disc brake pads for the optimum in brake setup.
– 160, 180 or 203mm Sizes available
– Bolt Pattern – 6 Bolt.
– Supplied with 6 x T25 steel fixing bolts, or upgrade with our Titanium vacuum nitride bolts, saving even more weight.
– Fitting Note – We recommend the fitment of new disc brake pads when fitting/bedding in of new disc brake rotors to ensure maximum performance is achieved. When selecting 203mm floating rotor to post mount Fox forks, hubs with offset flanges such as Mavic/Chris King hubs, etc, these combinations will not allow sufficcient clearance between the 203mm disc rotor and the lower post mount on the fork. Not compatible with centre lock adapters. If you are unsure of compatibility please contact us, as we will not accept returns of damaged rotors caused by this.
– RRP – £24.99

The Radiator floating Rotors now come equipped with 1050 grade custom colour finished alloy heat dissipation radiator fins (hence the name) that dissipate around 30% heat away from the braking surface. Keeping heat under control is essential to maintaining a consistent brake ‘feel’ so the more you can do to dissipate heat the better overall performance of the brakes.
The range of colours available make the Radiators even more appealing, allowing a true custom design to match up with the colour of your bike. We opted for a sexy red number that look the danglies paired up with the matt black finish of our DMR Bolt.
We will be running these on the longest descents we can find and combining them with Uberbike’s finned brake pads to get the best possible performance out of them.
More soon.
