Buying a new helmet is tricky business these days. With so many available and so much choice it’s a head spinner trying to balance a good level of protection that your precious head deserves and a good level of protection your bank balance deserves. Can cheap be too cheap when it comes to something as vital as a helmet? On initial impressions the Lazer Phoenix helmet does not look or feel cheap. It has a surprising quality in its construction and a flawless finish. The Double D ring buckle is certainly a welcome addition as is its 980g weight. Lazer are a respected player in the helmet world, producing some fine kit in the Road, MTB and Moto industries. They know their onions and we find it hard to believe that despite its price tag the helmet in itself would be cheap.
