DMR Lecondeguy Signature Pedals – First Look
We’ve wanted a pair of these beauties since we first caught sight of them at Core Bike. The kind folks at Upgrade sent us a set. Oh yes.

The Lecondeguy signature Vaults were released to celebrate his Redbull Rampage victory in 2014. After running some Brendog Vaults for a while and basically falling in love with them he wanted to come up with his own visual style. Where Brendan’s were an understated, stealthy black, Andreu’s are pretty wild in their totally unique Oil Slick finish.
• BIG – 115mm x 115mm
• LIGHT – 400gms per pair
• SLIM – 17mm concave foot bed
• TOUGH – Extruded 6061 aluminium and 4140 Cro.Mo steel axles.
• TUNEABLE – 11 ‘flipPin’ per pedal can be fitted ‘short’ or ‘long’ to fine tune the grip available
• SERVICEABLE – High load DU bush and cartridge bearing
• RRP – £124.99

Coming in a really neat box (akin to the sort of packing you’d expect an iPhone or iPad to come in) you can’t help but feel these are a genuine quality signature item that Lacondeguy himself wanted to be proud of. The standard Vaults are already an awesome pedal and with all the little extra visual flourishes on these bad boys they definitely feel they are worth the £125 price tag.

With 11 pins per platform you aren’t going to be slipping a shoe anytime soon, even on the toughest terrain, and the concave pedal centre just further demonstrates just how much thought and effort DMR and Andreu have put into making these the stickiest pedals in the industry. The ‘filpPin’s’ are a really nice touch allowing you to easily change the pins to run shorter if you choose.

The finish on these is stunning and we’re tempted to mount them in a frame and stick them on the wall rather than get them all muddied up on the trails. With some really tiny graphic details such as Lacondeguy’s signature (literally) etched on there and his national Catalan flag they really look like a piece of art than functional hardware. With a super thin profile the chances of striking the ground with these is pretty slim but we’re going to give it our best shot when we stick them onto our DMR Bolt. Weight wise they come in at just 410g a pair or 335g for the Ti Axle upgrade.

We’ll be running these on our DMR Bolt from now on, so keep your eyes peeled for our full review.
