World Cup #1 Lourdes – Practice Photo Fix

It’s always difficult to assess what’s really going on from Friday practice as it doesn’t always give an indication of who is really on the pace with tactical runs or riders just testing a few things out but it can still be a useful marker. Gee and Rachel set the respective benchmarks on day 1, will that translate into race winning run come Sunday? We can’t wait to find out.

Tracy Hannah is always a girl that can pull a result. A hard grafter that used to work in the mines in Australia. She will be loving the dry condition, but hating the cold weather here!
practice
Rachel Atherton showed her dominance at the first British Downhill series putting 10 seconds into Manon carpenter. She does have a nasty cold at the moment. Get her on the Lemsips Brownie!
practice
Loic Bruni- White kit! I doubt he would be wearing this if the heavens opened! Not if he knows how bloomin’ hard it is to clean white kit!
practice
Greg Minnaar’s say’s he’s done about 50 runs on his 29er before this race. He was looking fast today on his wagon wheeler. I wonder if people are jealous that they’re not on 29er’s or just plain hating that something that came from XC has broken into DH?
practice
Danny Hart roosting! Will his tidal wave of confidence have calmed down over winter or manifested into a tsunami? He looked pinned today anyway!
practice
There’s a man with the bit between his teeth. On for the win?
Practice
Prime roost. Oh how we’ve missed you.
practice
The fresh section in the woods churning up some rooty ruts nicely.
practice
Bernard Kerr 3rd in timed training today. After a solid winter training in the summer of NZ, this cat can do more than just ‘stoppie sundays’. We’re sure Kerr will be hungry for his first WC podium, if not gunning for a win.
practice
Demetry Triantafilou is a serious privateer, no vehicle but bags of style rocking the 181 plate and sending the gap at the top rock garden like a champ!

practice
Conditions were prime today and the dirt was about as perfect as you could want. Railing everything at full chat was well within reach
