SussMyBike was born around the notion that bike suspension setup can be improved considerably if you just knew exactly what your wheels were doing! Figuring out what is happening under you as you are riding is not always straight forward – and asking your friends gets many different answers! There is lots of information out there but they are not experiencing your ride or the symptoms of poor suspension setup first hand – so it can be hard to figure out what applies and what doesn’t.
Enter SussMyBike. This new product is a small electronic device that fits onto your fork/shock and measures what is happening. Then it tells you what just occurred. No guesswork, no ‘I think’ – just facts. Facts that you can then use to make informed decisions about how to tune or adjust your suspension better. SussMyBike will work on virtually all mountain bikes using AIR or COIL shocks.
SussMyBike harnesses the power of your smartphone (Apple/Android) to analyse the suspension movement and provide the rider with some real world data on how your bike is riding. Take the pain out of suspension setup – get real figures and Suss Your Bike!
What stage is SussMyBike at?
Currently we are finishing development and are testing prototype devices. These are in advanced stages of completion. However development is moving apace as we figure out the logistics of how to get the electronic assembly, enclosures, certification and ruggedisation necessary to operate in the ‘proper’ mountain bike conditions of rain, mud and grit!
About us – The Team
We are not a well funded multinational business but a small bunch of enthusiastic mountain bikers who love riding their bikes and would love to see other mountain bikers getting more fun and enjoyment out of their rides through better suspension setup. Our team includes young professional Enduro World Cup series riders who are helping us with testing through MTBCOS (Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland – based at Glentress nr Peebles in Scotland), Sports Scientists at Napier University (Edinburgh), Edinburgh University Fablab (Soft Systems Group – School of Engineering), electronic engineers, software developers and materials experts.

We need early sales – vital to any new product that comes onto the market. We need people to see our vision and understand the benefits and value of our idea.
