Stevie Smith Injury Update

Without bad luck he’d have no luck at all. Sadly Steve Smith is out of action again for the opening round of the World Cup season in Lourdes.

After missing the first two rounds of the 2014 season with an ankle injury Steve Smith is going to miss the first round in Lourdes this weekend due to an injury to his Navicular bone in his foot. He suffered an injury at the tail end of 2014 at Mont Saint Anne which sidelined him for the remainder of the season. The Navicular bone injury is unrelated to any previous injury.

“We approached the injury with great optimism that he would be fit to return at round one in Lourdes, France. These hopes have fallen short, and Steve will have to wait”Gabe Fox, DGR Team Manager

Hopefully some luck will come Stevie’s way and we’ll see him in action at Fort William in June and back to his winning 2013 form.
