National Champs 2017
It’s the big one. The chance to rock the rainbow stripes for year long glory. The Champs heads to Rhyd Y Felin and we reckon Cut Spikes will be on the cards. Weather is looking err interesting with some rains and storms forecast so be prepared. Check out the vid at the bottom of the article to see just how things could turn out should the weather not play ball.

Friday:
Venue open: 1pm
Sign on: 4pm-6pm (In the marquee)
Track open for walking 1700 (No uplift permitted or allowed – Any noted infringements will be reported to the Commissaires)
Saturday:
Marshal briefing: 0745 Sign on opens: 0800 (In the marquee)
Uplift Opens: 0845 Track live: 0915
Full runs only: 1400 onwards
Last Uplift: 1630 – For all categories except Senior Champs Men & Women / Women & Junior Men Last Uplift: 1730
Track closed: 1800
Rider Meeting at marquee: 1830
Sunday:
Marshal briefing: 0730
Uplift opens: 0830
Practice Live: 0845
Last practice rider: 1040
Seeding runs: 11am-2pm
Finals: 2pm-5pm
Podiums: 5.30pm

Sign on, number boards & rear number boards: Sign on must be completed before you head to the uplift. Your number board must be attached prior to any practice. Rear number boards must be in place for Senior Championship male / female and Junior male & female during timed runs only –
Please do not attach it prior to timed runs. Please note cutting of number boards is strictly prohibited.
Race Licence: If you have entered any of the Championship categories you must bring your valid BC Race licence to sign on. Failure to do so will result in a £10.00 fine paid directly to British Cycling. Failure to show proof of I.D. in the event of not having your licence could result in you being unable to sign on and race.
Let’s hope the weather is reasonably kind this weekend and we don’t end up with this –
