MRP Launch the SXg Chain Guide
With the SXg, MRP delivers a guide without compromise and with no equal. Check out their latest chain guide which has been in the works for some time.
No longer does the desire for protection and both upper and lower retention have to come at the expense of weight, efficiency, or the addition of moving parts – have your cake and eat it too. With the SXg covering all those bases, it’s the first guide in history that’s equally a t home on anything from aggressive, short-travel bikes to Armageddon-ready Rampage rigs, and everywhere in-between.

It ’s a guide that refuses to be pigeon-holed, blurring the lines between typical industry definitions – a little country and a little rock, as they say. But, in this case, it’s whole lotta rock. The SXg introduces a new revolution in drivetrain security – the Whippersnapper™. As the name implies, the Whippersn apper™ lower guide halts the otherwise drop-inducing chain whiplash caused by deep compressions and successive hits. I ll-advised hucks to flat? Multi-story cliff drops? Ankle-deep bike park braking bumps? No problem.

Your choice of either an aluminum or carbon backplate provides the backbone of the SXg. Up top, you’ll find our new HD upper guide with co-molded TPU material on the interior walls and ceiling that silences chain contact. It’s attache d via a tracked and grooved backplate interface that increases stiffness and eases installation. At bottom, the SXg sk id provides safeguard to the chainring and glides over rocks and obstacles. Employing the same co-molding technology o f the upper guide, the Whippersnapper™ uses nylon and a TPU material to provide durable protection from external blows and muted internal contact with the chain.

Both the upper and lower elements of the guide feature our trademark Swing set™ pivoting hardware that makes installation and adjustment a snap. So whether you’re a rider whose probably asking more-than-a-little too much of your short-travel trail bike, a racer that drops serious coin to race and wants to hedge against any possibility of a mechanical, or a thrill-seeking hucke r who desperately needs their chain in its proper place while riding the thin line between death and glory – the SXg belongs to you.
