Leogang World Cup Finals – Photo Fix

Leogang Finals

Despite the concerns and grumbles over this years Leogang course, the finals served us up some top notch and very tight racing. Finals Photo Fix time!

Tahnee was definitely our favourite for the win today and she didn’t let us down. Smashed it.
Tahnee managed to find time where they seemed to be none. Super efficient run, nothing wasted.
Tracey Hannah was flying in qualifying and after her Fort William victory had her sight on the top step. She maintains her points lead regardless after her impressive second place.
Paula Zibasa smashed in the win in the Junior Womens. Impressive ride.
Kade Edwards had a superb run and nailed the third step of the podium.
There will be a lot of speed blur in the following days of photos. Leogang may have not been technical but it was definitely fast, as Reece Wilson demonstrates
Henry Kerr. Not a good day at the office.
But a very good day at the office for this man. Smashed qualifying. Smashed the finals. Winning Gwin is back.
This shot took some doing – “3200 shutter per sec at f14 through a 27mm lens at iso 1000 through 1’5” inch gap through chicken wire on the maxis bridge. with a 3 sec warning before the shot.. “hardest shot I’ve taken ..” Keith Valentine (phunkt)
Finn Iles got exactly what he wanted and needed from Leogang. A win to put him back in the driving seat.
With 2.3 seconds on 2nd placed Matt Walker it was clear that Finn was in a pace of his own come the finals.
Can’t argue with that for a finish line view. Not many sports offer that sort of backdrop.
The very moment Tahnee realises she’s nailed the win.
Chainsaw. Green Wig. Couple of blokes in dresses. 8 pack of Beer and a monk. You don’t get that at Wimbledon.
Decent crowd and a vocal one too. Plenty of support for the riders
As good a time as any to knock some booze back.
Phil Atwill, despite his misgivings about the course, won’t be too disappointed with 16th.
Keeping her lit….
Brendog. You can always rely on him for that shot.
Leogang definitely isn’t a Brendog sort of course. But it did give him opportunity to style it up.
Womens Podium. Tahnee, Tracey and Myriam
Team winners from the weekend.
Mens Podium. Aaron, Loris and Greg
