Fort William 2016 – Thursday Pit Bits
The sun is shining down on the pits of Fort William, with some exciting bits.
It’s Steve Peat’s last season racing World Cup DH, so to commemorate the occasion, Crank Brothers have put together a very special version of the Mallet DH pedal.

There are only 1000 pairs of these, each one individually numbered, featuring Steve’s signature and the “Cheers” banner.

The Crank Brothers Highline dropper was also on show, hitting the UK dealers in the next month or so after a full winter of testing and tweaking to make sure it’s just right.

With a sealed cartridge, 3 year warranty and the best parts available, CB are determined to make sure this version succeeds. The simple cable actuation means there’s no awkward bleeding to tackle when putting it together. The instructions make it look like a big (and easy!) Lego set!

The ball joint on the lever, combined with the cable tension being tackled from the bars should mean that set up is really easy. We’ve got one to test, so we will let you know ASAP!

The legend that is Steve Peat, running the bar and sharing some beers after the Steve Smith Memorial Mega-Train.

Peaty’s helmet with a highland theme.

Who gave Ems the camera!?!
