Eurobike 16 – TRP

TRP were probably relatively unknown to the masses before their partnership with Aaron Gwin, but are now fast becoming big players in the disc brake market.  Having spied some differences between Gwin’s brakes and the standard Quadium brakes, we had to ask some questions.

Eurobike-010916-RB-72TRP are refreshingly open about the workings of their relationship with Gwin, and it’s great to see them reacting to his input and making changes.  So far, on the Quadium alone, they’ve been through 3 lever shapes, added cooling fins to the caliper, added detents to the lever reach adjuster, ripped 30g (!!) of weight from the caliper pistons, and even changed tolerances on the pads.

All of these changes will be rolling out in next year’s production Quadium brake, having been developed during the 2016 season.
