EURO BITS #5
More shiny lovelyness from Eurobike 2016 –

Lezyne was started back in 2007 by Micki Kozuschek, with his successful background in the bike industry, his plan was to modernise the accessories market. From award winning pumps and mulit-tools, they introduced the GPS range. These have been redesigned for 2017, with more features and even a GPS watch with the same features being added to the list.

With the use of an app, you can sync the Lezyne GPS to you phone, then use this for live Strava updates (KOM notifications shown on GPS screen), build routes which can then navigated turn-by-turn via GPS screen. The list of functions is pretty impressive – turn-by-turn navigation, live Strava tracking, heart rate, cadence, power, speed, distance, time, date, laps, elevation, grade, calories, temperature, GPS signal, battery life, text/email/phone notifications and more…….

Lezyne have joined the masses and produced a track pump to aid the fitting of tubeless systems. Available with both standard and digital gauges, can be pressurised to 220psi, steel/alloy construction and reinforced braided hose.

The Rudy Project girls are back in town again.

I’ve been using the Bell Super3R for a while and have been getting on with it very well. They are just launching the new Super3R. It uses a similar removable chin guard but the changes are largely to the fit, to address the feedback following the fit of the Super2.

Giro have revised the Swithblade and brought us this super looking lid.

The chin-guard is very easily removable, via a couple of small clicks and little pull. To replace it, slot the top in and click the bottom into place. A very neat job indeed.

Muc-Off have been making bike care products for years, recently though they expanded into care products for us riders too. Since this time last year they’ve added to this range further.

The Chamois Cream, Massage Oil, Shaving Cream and Aftershave Balm are all new products.

Royal have stripped back their range this year, the most eye-catching of the range being this Victoria Race jersey and shorts.
I used to have a Cat Eye Stadium light many years ago and it really was amazing. This new light from Cat Eye has been a while in the making but I think it’s going to eclipse the Stadium. We’re hoping to get one on test before the nights start drawing in.
