Dirtwars Round #3 – NASS
If you haven’t already got it in your calendar for next weekend, then you need to. Dirtwars round #3 is at NASS on the 10th-12th July.

Dirt jumping has been a part of NASS for years. Back at the first event you had the likes of Jim Davage, Jimmy Pratt, Chris Smith, PCJ and a whole host of UK MTB Dirt Jumpers battle it out for what was The King Of Dirt.
Move on 10 years and Dirt Wars UK now head up the Dirt Jumps at the festival and what an amazing line up we have for you. We have over 30 of the UK’s up and coming riders battling it out in the Open Class whilst 20 of the UK’s finest Pro MTB Athletes will be throwing it down and unleashing their trick bags in the Pro Class to see who becomes The King of Nass MTB Dirt.

Prize purse and info:
Along with the 2000 Euro prize purse there is also A DMR Sect dirt Jump Frame, DMR Bars, Stems, Pedals and Grips, A Diamondback full bike (RRP £500), Marzocchi DJ1 Forks, O’Neal Pads and Gloves, Azonic Pedals and Bars, Instalens Phone lenses, A Powerpack Battery back-up, 2x Bell Full Face Helmets, a Camelback hydration pack, Diamondback Bars and Stems and a stack of T-shirts.

Top 6 Pro riders.
Matt Jones (Saracen Bikes/Redbull) Matt is the UK’s only RedBull Dirt Jump Rider, This guy throws it down big time.
Daryl Brown (Bulls Bikes/EX) Daryl is the Height master no rider can boost a jump like daryl, expect to see his signature one handed super seat grab.
Ryan Nangle (Holdshott/Marzocchi) This guy is coming fresh off a win in round 1, Ryan nails the trails with his 720 and then opo 720
Tom Cardy (Dartmoor/Xfusion) Tom is the 2014 Dirt wars UK Champion and will be fighting hard to keep his number 1 spot.
Ray Samson (DMR/Lazer) South African Ray Samson has been smashing dirt wars podiums for 6 years Smooth is Rays Middle name.
Tom Reynolds (Specialized UK) Younger Brother of Sam Reynolds and just as stylish, Ok Tom’s not quite at his older brother’s level but he’s certainly biting at his heels.


Jumps
The course is set to be awesome with all of the jumps totally trickable and a nice big jump to finish, the Riders will be judged on their flow through the course as well as amplitude, trick difficulty and trick execution. expect to see 360’s, 720’s, flipwhips, 3whips, tail whips, barspins, backflips and maybe even the odd front flip thrown in.

The Festival isn’t all about the Dirt Jumps as there is a whole host of top Music entertainment from the likes of Public Enemy, Rebel Sound, Tempa T, Lethal Bizzle, Enter Shikari, Roni Size Reprazent and many many more.

There is also the BMX Dirt Jumping, BMX Park and BMX Street as well as all the Skateboarding (Tony Hawk and The Birdhouse Crew will be in town).
