The Cycle Show 2014 – Randoms #3
Whilst not an over dominant presence at the Cycle Show, there were some Downhill and Enduro bikes on display this year. After lusting over the Carbon Pivot Phoenix we found some time to grab a few random snaps.

The carbon Trek Session 9.9 DH in all it’s glory and with a chain. £7000

Intense Cycles have taken a back seat for a while in the World of DH, but with big plans for 2015 we expect to see this brand on top of the box.

We really liked the look of the Diamond Mission 275’s. With 3 price point builds available, and a frameset option, most budgets should be covered.

We were drooling over Pivot’s Carbon Phoenix. An incredible looking frame with amazing attention to detail. It needs to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated.

The Bicycle Academy had an impressive looking display and were demonstrating some of their unique custom tooling and processes. Over the course of the show, director Andrew Denham built a frame from scratch.

Mondraker are sticking with their bold frame design across the range.

Transition Bikes now have a new UK Distributor, Windwave. Take a look at more of their bikes here.

World Champs and World Cup winning metal, the Saracen Myst.

We were pretty impressed with the look of the latest Downhill offering from Vitus. Just a bit over 2k for a pretty well equipped set-up is worth considering if you’re on a smaller budget for 2015.

While we talk Vitus, they have just launched their new 2015 Sommet and Escarpe full suspension mountain bike range, check out their promo vid.
That’s the lot from this years Cycle Show. Keep tuned to Ride.io for more reviews and content surrounding 2015 product soon.
