Core Bite – E*thirteen
E*thirteen have gone for a problem solving approach with their new line of products in 2015. We took a peek at their new kit.

LG1+ Single Ring
First up is the new LG1+ Single Ring Chain Guide. We were really impressed with addition of a quick release clip which allows you to quickly and easily separate the top guide, rather than messing around with allen keys or tiny loc-nuts usually located in the most awkward places to get to. The lower armature has a multi-position fit and has a replaceable/interchangeable Direct Mount Bash and in the box you get three sizes of Bash Guard (30,34,36t). the top and bottom guides and bash guard are all made from solvent resistant plastic and the whole thing weighs 136g (30t Bash) RRP – £139.95

TRS+ Single Ring Guide
They also had their Enduro and Trail Chain Guide which comes with all the cool features found on the LG1+ but with an enduro friendly 46g on the scales. RRP – £79.95

LG1R DH Crank Arms
Their new DH Cranks Arms come equipped with an Adaptive Preload Adjuster (APS)system which means no more spacers and no more fitment-faff (we’ve copyrighted that). They have an oversized 30mm Spindle, a removable quick-connect chainring lockring, crank arm protectors and a BB removal tool. Crank Arm sizes available are 165mm and 170mm, and weigh 651g. RRP – £239.00

Tubeless Tyre Plasma
E13 have also got some Tyre Plasma which uses “Oxyplatelets” to seal punctures up to 4mm in length. It’s an organic substance which means any spillages will be completely harmless and is none-corrosive to tyre casings. Available in 250ml (£7.95) and 1000ml (£13.95) bottles.

And finally from e13 we had their LG1R wheelset still available in 26″ and also 275. Weight reduction has been achieved by machining away areas of the rim (as pictured above) without impacting on the overall strength of the rim or tension of the spokes. 26″ come in at 1862g and the 275’s come in at 1902g. 20mm front and 150/157mm rear axles options. RRP – £799
