Our 5th and final round up of Core Bike. We grab a look at the Transition Triple and product from Praxis and X Fusion.
We love the look of the new Transition Triple. We missed the Double when it was discontinued so it’s good to see a Slopestyle Bike back in the lineup.
It comes in one size only… roomy enough for stability on big lines with super short chainstays for agility. The Triple takes the legacy of the Double one step further. “It has been a few years since we’ve had the Double slopestyle bike in our lineup, but for 2016 we are excited to introduce the all new Triple. We have designed the Triple to be the ultimate slopestyle bike, with clean lines and a stiff compact frame. The Triple is sold as a frameset or singlespeed complete bike using a bottom bracket concentric main pivot and sliding 10x135mm dropouts. A derailleur hanger, ISCG05 chainguide tabs and our custom shifter mount for SRAM shifters are included if you choose to build one up with a rear derailleur. The Triple geometry is designed to mimic a DJ hardtail and the rear suspension has been tuned specifically for slopestyle with a low leverage and progressive curve. Pump up the Monarch rear shock and there is just enough suspension for the times when a hardtail isn’t enough” Transition Bikes
Praxis Steel Wide/Narrow 32t Chainring. These are Praxis really high-end steel rings at £60 a pop. Pricey but hard wearing so should last you a long time.

The X Fusion Revel caught our eyes. Upside down forks could be well and truly back on the agenda as Paul Turner (Rockshox Founder and REVEL Designer) himself said “All high end motorcycles use USD forks, only the low end models use traditional style suspension forks”
USD forks concentrate the mass of the fork to the place where the fork is under the highest stress.
Patented keyway system restricting any twisting of the stanchions.
The USD design allows for the main wipers to always be lubricated.
The Roughcut HLR damper system gives riders a wide range of adjustment to High and Low speed compression and rebound.

The Roughcut HLR Damper is a fully bled bladder and cartridge based damper which features high and low speed, independently adjustable compression and rebound damping adjustment.
