British Downhill Series Returns to Llangollen

Entries Still Available But Be Quick!

After having to make the difficult decision to cancel a scheduled round of the British Downhill Series, the Championship continues bigger and better as it moves on to Llangollen on the 19th and 20th August

-Quick Uplift using bike specific trailers.
-Practice all day Saturday 09:30 to 18:00 and Sunday morning 08:30 to 11:00.
-Seeding and a Race Run from 11:15 onwards.
-Free Race Support from Shimano, Crank Brothers, Hope Technology and Sprung Suspension.
-WD40 Bike Wash, Air Hoses and Lube Station.
-Free Race Photos for you to download courtesy of Monster Energy.
-Free Camping and Parking for Racers.
-Kids Strider Racing!
-Onsite Retailer Mitchell Cycles.
-Live Timing including Splits and Speed Trap.
-Live Commentator.
-Onsite Caterer with Bar!

For those with a BC Race Licence and Membership you can enter your age category (no points are required).
No licence or membership? You can enter the ‘Open Category’.
-Spectator friendly venue, also note dogs are allowed (On a lead please).

Event Schedule:

Friday.
13:00 Venue open for team pits, parking and camping.
16:00 Commissaire course walk. We reserve the right to change the course at any time through the event.

18:00 Course open for on foot inspection only. No transport to the top is provided or permitted.

15:00 – 21:00 Race registration, please bring your valid National Federations race licence and membership.

Saturday.
07:00 Course open for on foot inspection only. No transport to the top is provided or permitted.
07:00 – 11:00 Race registration, please bring your valid National Federations race licence and membership.
09.00 Uplift opens and all riders must have their transponders fitted to use the uplift.
09:30 Open practice for all Juvenile Men, Youth Men, Junior Men, Senior Men, Master Men, Veteran Men, Grand Veteran Men, Junior Women and Women.

10:30 Open practice for all.

17:00 Course closed for all Juvenile Men, Youth Men, Junior Men, Senior Men, Master Men, Veteran Men, Grand Veteran Men, Junior Women and Women.

17:00 Course open for Expert Men and Elite Men and Elite Women Only.
17:30 Last uplift.
18:00 Course Closed.
18:05 Riders meeting.
18:10 Course open for on foot inspection only. No transport to the top is provided or permitted.

Sunday.
08:00 Uplift opens and all riders must have their transponders fitted to use the uplift.
08:30 Open Practice for all.

10:45 – 11:00 Elite Men and Women Practice only.
11:00 Course Closed.
11:15 Seeding Run followed by one-timed Race Run.
17:30 Podium for top five in each category.

Event Entry: The race is pre-entry only via the British Cycling Website.
Race entry is £95.00 plus a £1.00 Booking Fee. If there are spaces on the day, entries will be offered on a first come, first served basis at £100.00 payable in cash.
