2014 British Cycling Downhill National Championships

The 2014 British Cycling National Championships presented by ‘Seven iDP’
Borderline Events is proud to announce the British Cycling National Championships is to be held at Innerleithen over the weekend of 19th & 20th July 2014. Innerleithen is where we consider to be the home of downhill here in the UK and a venue steeped in heritage. Gee Atherton & Tracy Moseley won the National Championships there in 2009, Adam Brayton has had wins at National and Regional level in recent times as has Lewis Buchanan, Josh Bryceland and Fraser Mcglone. Rachel Atherton has won there at National level in both 2008 and 2013. The prestigious National Championships jersey is what they all want and will all be fighting for come race day.
In 2013 Borderline Events hosted the National Champs in Bala and the reviews were absolutely fantastic. For 2014 we aim to once again achieve great reviews for such a prestigious event. In 2013 Gee and Rachel walked away with an Atherton double for the Championships Jerseys. It was close and with only one race run it makes it wide open and this is what makes the National Championships so exciting. Those that hold their nerve earn the privilege of wearing the Union Jack on their sleeve for the for the following year.

Entries will be open on 13th January at 9am and you will require a valid BC licence (Silver or Gold) to enter. If there are any entries left on the 01st April we will look at the option of a ‘Open’ category based on ability. Entries will be via www.borderline-events.co.uk
Borderline Events would really like to thank the team at ‘Seven iDP’ for the support of the event and we are really looking forward to working with them on the National Championships in 2014.
