Pearce Cycles Race Report & Photo Epic -Kinsham
The first Pearce Cycles Race of the year was over at Kinsham, the privately owned forest in the wooded hills of Herefordshire.

The weather was blazing hot and the track was dusty, providing a quick running track. The conditions couldn’t be more different to the BDS last weekend.

The track was full of turns with still some flat out sections but mostly consisted of weaving in and out of (or even jumping through) tight trees!

The uplift ran super quick with only ever a small queue, top or bottom, making it possible to bang out as many runs as your body could take!!

The combination hot weather, dusty track, quick uplift and a fun track left the morale super high through the whole weekend and everyone seemed happy to be riding there bike!!
One way to make the porridge….

Sunday morning came around and the valley floor was soon heated by the rising temperature! A small covering of dew settled some of the dust for a while and riders practiced for race runs.

More braking bumps were appearing but all in all the track had held up well and not changed too much over the weekend.

The track was fairly short the fastest time of the day being a 1:41.4 meaning times were super tight!

Shaun Richards took the Fastest Speed Trap. Rumour has it that he’s been training deadlifting cars with the Llanelli rugby squad.
Taylor Vernon took the fastest time of the day with Junior’s Matt Walker followed closely behind him in a stacked elite field, beating the likes of Mike Jones and Adam Brayton.
