Bernard Kerr takes Gee Atherton’s Place at World Champs
After a nasty crash during practice last weekend at Andorra Gee hurt his shoulder pretty badly. He managed to run in the finals at Andorra but the pain has become too much to take on a very technical Val Di Sole World Champs track.
“Gee went out to practice this morning but had to withdraw when his shoulder was just too painful to continue, reluctantly he’s had to withdraw.” – Dan Brown

But after narrowly missing out on a place this year, Bernard Kerr will get his shot at World Champs glory and take Gee’s place on the team. He’s had a pretty amazing year this year and the technical track will definitely suit him.
“ World Champs is all or nothing, its always 110% or go home and the way I’m feeling today – I’m not even 50%. I’m gutted not to race here, the track has always been good to me but Bernard will do a fantastic job for the team. I’ll be cheering loudest of all.” – Gee Atherton
