Eurobike 16 – DMR
You can’t not visit DMR when you’re at Eurobike. 25 years + 1 and these guys are as strong as ever.

DMR have been producing pedals pretty much since they were invented, well maybe not quite that long but certainly a long time. I’ve run pretty much every incarnation they’ve done and I’ve never had a problem. They’ve released a couple of new models here for Eurobike 2016, a new V8 and the V-Twin, really enhancing the fact the DMR have a full line of pedals.

Introducing, the all new DMR V8 pedal, sitting at £36.99

The V8 sits closer to the V6, internals wise. Effectively, we have a V12 with a different axle/bearing system. The main difference being here, that we don’t have bearings, its a double bush system.

The V8 offers a much larger platform that its predecessor. But, if you still facny the old style V8, you will still be able to buy it in black or silver with a cheaper RRP of £27.99

As with the V12, the pins are replacable on the V8, so you could even whack some ‘terror’ pins in if you need that extra hold.

This is the big game changer for DMR, a clipless pedal! It’s not exactly the product we expect to see come from DMR given their roots, but in this ‘enduro’ age, its going to be a product which sells!

Using the Shimano style cleat system, the DMR V-Twin aims to give the rider a good platform with great adjustability. The pedal comes with spacer shims (which you can see photographed on the black pedal) to bulk up the side, giving the rider the feel they want. The composite top scuff plates will be replaceable and the pedal can take any selection of DMR pins you require.

Sadly, this isn’t available yet though. These are pre-production pedals with a target price of £130 and an aim to also produce mag and mag/ti variants. Coming Soon.
