Ruaridh Cunningham’s Winning Run at Hardline

Epic is a word so regularly overused but without shadow of a doubt this run was epic. Hats off to Ruaridh Cunningham.

Red Bull Hardline with Jeep was dubbed to be one of the most epic downhill courses of all time, and boy did it deliver. Dan Atherton and his team managed to build a course that proved to be bigger and more technical than anything ever seen before in downhill mountain biking. In was absolutely insane.

Former World Champion, Gee Atherton absolutely smashed it in the qualifying run on Saturday setting down the fastest time. However, a tyre mechanical in the finals saw him limping down the mountain, leaving Ruaridh Cunningham to take the title.
