Racers Rides – Becci Skelton
We caught up with Becci Skelton recently to check out her Saracen Myst and find out a little more about her favourite riding spots and her expectations for 2015.

First off, who are your sponsors for this year and what category do you ride in?
I’m in masters category, but usually, as a ‘lady’ you all get chucked in together! I’ve got Uberbike Components, Chromag, Avit Extreme and Mudhugger pimping the beast up, and Flare Clothing Company pimping me up.
Can you give us a break down of the full spec of your bike?
Frame – Saracen Myst Team 2013 with Carbon swing arm
Fork – Fox 40 / 203mm travel / Kashmina
Rear Shock – Fox DHX RC4 Factory Kashmina
Shifters and Brakes – Shimano Zee
Drive Train – Saint Cranks/Zee mech
Wheels – Hope hubs/Wonky Mavic Rims….(rim sponsors welcome!)
Bars and Stem – Chromag BZA
Seat post and Saddle – Chromag

How much does it weigh?
Currently balancing on the scales with my bike…about 17kg.

Have you done any mods to it?
The Uberboys have pimped her up with grips, rotors, finned disc brakes pads, gear and brake cables, bottom bracket, narrow wide ring and anything else shiny on her.
Any interesting or standout features?
Apart from all the Uberbike bling, I love the metallic pink linkage on her!

Any battle damage on your bike yet or have you kept it on two wheels for the most part?
You’re joking right…did you see Llangollen BDS? She likes a good crash, and I’m afraid, like her owner, has a few battle scars, but so far, only cosmetic!

Is there a particularly type of track or terrain where the bike really shines?
She reals awesome when I can just let her go on fast, flowy, jumpy tracks! Love it!

Where do you practice most?
There’s a rad little XC loop near me, I blast that out quite a bit, and I’m pretty local to Wharny and Greno so try and get down there. The Clay Spades lads at Wharncover have done an awesome job!
Where is you favourite track?
Variety is the spice of life…can’t say I have a favourite, I do love it at Revs, Hammers, Bala and Wharny though!

What are your goals for the remainder of the 2015 season?
Obviously doing well in the remainder of my races is up there on the goals list, but as this is only my second year riding and racing really, I really just want to continue progressing and learning as much as possible and maybe look at doing some European races next year. The main thing, however, is to continue having a big old grin on me face!
Sum up your bike in three words
Fun, Gnarly, Addictive

Thanks Becci, Good luck for the rest of the year!
