#RideItOut at Ae Forest – BDS #1
It comes around fast, too fast sometimes. This year we traveled up to Ae Forest in Scotland for the start of the Downhill season, for round 1 of the 2015 Rose Bikes British Downhill Series.
With a 7 man strong team for 2015, the ride.io guys will be seen at most races across the UK. For round 1 we were 4 men strong, that was until our team photo and videoshoot when one of our latest recruits (Fergus Ryan) propelled himself into a tree, separating his shoulder. He’s on the mend and we hope to have him back on his bike for round 2 at the brutal Fort William, the perfect track to return to after a shoulder injury… Get well soon Fergus!

We rocked up on the Friday (three strong!) with The Box on tow, our latest creation at Ride.io. Our team setup is a little larger this year with a few new tents and facilities to help the riders focus on their weekend of racing bikes and not worry about mechanical failures.

Watch our Elite rider Emyr Davies speed down Ae with a few little mishaps!

It wouldn’t be the first National of the year without bikes still being built. Although Guy wasn’t at round 1 of the BDS, we put together his new race bike and sent it on it’s way to the first World Cup of the season.

Introducing Ross Anderson, the new Ride.io Team Mechanic. Ross helped us out with the early ideas of The Box last year spannering at the National Champs in Innerleithen and giving the team riders a hand at the last round of the 2014 British Downhill Series at Bike Park Wales, where Emyr Davies landed his first podium in Elite.
This year Ross will be heading to all of the British Downhill Series, National Champs and a World Cup or two to keep the guys on track. Welcome to the team Ross.

For the next round, we will be heading up in force as six of our riders head to the Highlands to tackle the beast that is Fort William. See you there!
