Scott Mears – Winter Sun

Scott ‘Scotty’ Mears is a well known rider from the north east of England, and for a while has been riding in the British Downhill Series, iXS European Cup, and the World Cup. Riding as a privateer, Scotty juggles his racing career alongside running Cyclefix, his bike shop. One of Danny Hart’s best mates, Scotty is a no-holds-bar racer and is one of the toughest guys out on track, which his little trip over the handlebars at Bike Park Wales in September proves. We first met Scotty when we were filming for Pinkbike at the British Downhill Series last year but unfortunately for Scotty, his season didn’t go to plan after he injured himself halfway through the year. Despite this setback, Scotty was on his bike by the end of the UK race season when we caught up with him at Bike Park Wales for the last round of the British Downhill Series.
