1st Slice of Ice Bike

It’s time for our first slice of ICEBIKE. In this slice we’ve got some product from Gamut, Shimano and Park Tools.

GAMUT

When we visited Gamut at Ice Bike in 2014 it was clear to see they where pushing their brand with the introduction of a whole range of new products which didn’t all fall into the chain device category. With their acquisition of Point One Racing in October, Gamut sat top of our list for brands to visit this time round.

The new Gamut direct mount stem takes on their minimal look found on the Cillos stems. The production version will be black and weighing in at 120g’s. The stem has three positions giving the option for 45, 50 and 55mm reach.

Gamut-podium-pedal

Introducing the new Gamut podium pedal. Gamut have taken the design of the popular but pricey Point One Podium and created a product which comes in at a much better price point, while retaining some of the key features found on Point’s Podium.

Gamut-podium-flat

The chromoly axle, which will be black for production, sits on one main large bearing thread end then a further three towards the end of the axle.

Gamut-pedal-profile

The pedal is concave, but only slightly moving from 10mm to 8mm.

gamut-trail-guide-with-bash

Adding to their chain guide range, this is the new Trail SXR, now integrating a bash. This guide will be availbale in two sizes, but Gamut hope to supply both of these bash guards with the device and are aiming for it to be the lihtest guide of it’s type on the market.

Gamut SXR Trail Guide RRP £49.99 (TBC)

Gamut-Cillos-Stems

The Cillos stems are available now, in three colours and three lengths. 40, 50 and 60mm increments should be adequate for any rider.

Gamut-direct-mount-chain-device

This new direct mount guide has something a little different on it dreamt up by the chaps at Gamut. With the guide, you will receive a series of spacers, these are designed to help you gain the spacing for the chain line on your bike. Further to this, the guide will also come with spacers which will allow for angle adjustment, meaning you can get it dialed around your ring so you never loose that chain.

Gamut-dh-bar

The last new line for Gamut this time round is some new bars. Nothing has been re-invented here, but they have produced two bars (DH and trail) which sit at a good price point and offer a great setup along aesthetically looking dialed.
