Steadily growing into one of the best styles in the Gravity scene. “Fuck and die” and “High Hopes” has built up the focus on racing big bikes with the flair of dirt fun. “Makkedonia” takes this to the next level and Makken himself puts it like this:
“I am really proud to finally show you guys Makkedonia. I’ve been working with Trond Hansen and Anders Håheim on this for the last year. We wanted this to be an all big bike edit with massive jumps and good trail riding. We put a lot of time into finding the music, so when you watch it make sure to have a good speaker system or a headset. And play it as loud as the highway”.
Makken has every reason to be stoked: He is respected as one of the best freeriders in the world and was invited to both Redbull Rampage and Nine Knights last year. “Makkedonia” features footage of some evil whips from the Nine Knights MTB event, joined by some sick shredding from the Norwegian Høkkfest. As the host of Høkkfest, Makken invited other world class athletes like Nico Vink, Aggy, Andreu Lacondeguy and Kurt Sorge. The other locations appearing in the video are the bike park at Hafjell and Barcelona.
Since 2012, the passionate shredder has been part of our Team of athletes. His favourite setup consists of the Fixer Fullface Full Carbon MIPS helmet, the Bearsuit Knee Pads and the Hunter Enduro Pants. And if bad weather forces him to wear a top, he prefers wearing the extremely breathable 3 layer Delirious jacket.
