Eurobike 14 – DMR
DMR have some really exciting new stuff in their “Alpine Division” – their All Mountain collection

In a really exciting move for DMR they have an all mountain crank – the AXE. 30mm axle and a 35mm option to follow in 2016. Every set comes with a Praxis thick-thin ring, and the SRAM style direct mount rings will fit. 890g all in and a £250 price tag make them competitive both in terms of weight and wallet.

The Zone wheelset is a burly wheelset for all mountain use. With the front being both 20mm and 15mm, and the rear being 135/142mm compatible, and being available with both 26 and 275 options there is something to suit every build. Welded joints and 30mm width hint at wanting to be ridden hard, and the wheels are tubeless ready. For the sticker lovers extra colourful decals are supplied to pimp your rims as you wish. 920g and 1020g masses, and a price around £350 for the pair.

The Stage1 saddle is “a proper saddle for going mountain biking” with a long blunt nose for climbing and a weight of 270g. Available in 3 colourways RRP £50.

A neat addition to the saddle is a small removable strap called the “ride saver” that allows you to carry a tube or a little bundle of tools to get you home. It’s a simple little system and looks like it will come in handy.

The Bolt gets a few tweaks, the BB drops slightly and the head angle has been fractionally steepened.
The Alpine Division section of DMR is a great looking move for them and they have plenty more in the pipeline including a re-imagination of some old friends. As soon as we have more news we will let you know!
