It’s that time of the year again, we are in Germany to get the latest from the cycle industry at Eurobike 2014
Meet our latest recruit to the media team at Ride,io. Chris’s experience of Eurobike so far has gone very well indeed.
Day 1 is Demo Day! This year for the first time it’s all at the main show ground. So we have had a little sneak around during the setup day too.
German Lumberjack fitting a bit of carpet.
I’m not sure Chris is happy on a Fat Bike…
Chris did back to back laps on Devinci’s Troy and Spartan Enduro bikes. Having the test track right next to the demo stands was small consolation for the tiny section of trail centre that comprised the “Enduro” trail.
This is SPAAARRRRTTTAAAAAA! The Devinci Spartan felt like it could smash through anything.
Fat bikes are everywhere.
Shortly after this photo was taken, the battery fell off the bike.
Hopefully this photo will inspire some of you to tidy your shed….
American Classic were showcasing their bling looking hubs and wheels.
Cutaway American Classic hub showed 6 double engagement pawls with a cam that ensures that they all engage, every time.
Box. These guys are making a jump into a market currently completely dominated by two of the biggest players in the cycle industry.
GEARS!
The shifter on this Box system uses just one lever. Click to go up, push to go down.
Still in a prototype stage, it’s looking promising aesthetically. We haven’t managed to get much info just yet, but will bring you more as soon as we hunt the designer down.
150mm rear and 170mm front, this bike has been tested by Ghost team riders at a DH national level with a set of Boxxers up front. With no name just yet, it’s pretty much ready to go and will be in full carbon arriving in 2016. Expect a full DH version with the Riot link to land soon as well.
Sadly they wouldn’t let the pre-production prototype out of their sight, so we made do with a few laps of the Ghost Riot LT.
Cables ties are a riders best friend. NS bikes, rider owned.
GT Bicycles stand coming together, slowly looking less like their warehouse.
Hallo!
For some lucky characters, work is done. Until break down on Sunday…
