Eurobike 13 – Nukeproof Mega goes 275

Nukeproof have started to head down the 275 wheel route with the Mega getting the extra diameter treatment.

The proven Mega is now available in four different builds based around two styles – the TR and AM both of which are available in a Pro spec and the slightly lower spec Comp.

The TR Pro comes with black stantioned Revelations, SRAM XO and Truvativ drivetrain and Avid brakes. The pro also features a Rock Shox Reverb with some neatly routed hoses. There are guides on the frame as well keeping the routing options open. All of the models are, of course, specced with all of Nukeproof’s own components including bars, stem, wheels, headset, saddle and so-on.

The AM Pro gets Rock Shox much anticipated Pike fork, again with the specially slippery (and stealthy) black stantions, and a tasty assortment of components and Maxxis High Roller II, of course in 275!

The Comp builds provide a slightly cheaper option, still specced well, for those with a little less cash to splash

So that’s the Mega, the 26” frameset remains in the range for now, and when asked about big wheeled DH bikes they were understandably coy. “We have a lot of things in development, and will be ready for whatever way the industry decides to go” – What does this mean? You decide?! Will we be seeing Sam Hill rocking big wheels before too long? Chat Wheel Sizes on the Forum.
