Eurobike 13 – Day 1.2
It’s the first day of the trade show here in Friedrichshafen, and we’ve been walking the many halls to check out all the latest gear. Here’s a look at a whole lot of new kit that don’t quite fit into our upcoming larger articles.

Commencal have added a selection of neon pink paintjobs to their range, with neon yellow still being seen on a whole lot of their bikes too.

Race Face will have a 2-piece direct mount stem for 2014, coming exclusively in a 35mm diameter.

The Atlas pedal will be a new addition addition to the Race Face line, with a low profile 12mm platform & a weight of 355g per pair, these will come in a whole range of anodised colours.

The Aeffect pedal is a more budget model, with a thicker platform & cheaper retail price.

Race Face are dabbling in the wheel market with complete wheels in both 29er & 275 sizes, 28 straight pull spokes in each with 15mm front & 12mm rear axles. Weights around 1800g per pair.

O’Neal have some CNCd belt buckles on show. Not a lot to say about them, but they’ll probably hold your trousers up.

ODI have a brand new Andreu Lacondeguy/Sensus grips in the works for 2014, as well as a couple of new colours for the awesome Troy Lee grip.

The product that ODI are most proud of this year is understandably the collaboration grip they created with Vans, using the infamous waffle sole design.

TSG have a bunch of new colours in the Staten helmet, which is also available in a carbon model.

Famous for making some of the raddest aluminium products on the market, Thomson have some brand new Titanium bars on display, these 15mm rise bars will be perfect for trail riding in their 730mm width.

Urge have a reputation for making great lightweight lids with a definite unique style, they’ve upped their range for 2014 with an additional road style lid.

No new MTB lids from Urge but this matt finish on the Down-O-Matic is sweet.

Nothing like a freeride bike for those under 10s, Commencal filling the gap in that market with this awesome 20″ wheeled Supreme.

Knolly dip a toe in the waters of 275with the Warden, still in the prototype stages.

Outdoor manufaturer Vaude have a big colourful stand packed with high quality looking gear.
Political figure of the day goes to Angela Merkle, seen here waving at people and getting in a car.
