Following a painfully long off-season, the speed, the carnage and the excitement of the UCI Downhill World Cup is almost upon us once more.
Rachel Atherton and Aaron Gwin took the overall in 2012 but we saw more than a glimpse of the future in the form of Brook Macdonald and Stevie Smith’s World Cup winning race runs. With Danny Hart already scoring a win at Fort William in this year’s British Downhill Series and Troy Brosnan back to full fitness, the 2013 season looks set to switch things up a notch.
