Windwave to distribute Dainese

Dainese are heading back to the UK with a new distributor, Windawave. Windwave are well known for distributing Marzocchi and Gravity components in the UK. It’s great to see these guys pick up such an iconic brand such as Dainese, and looking at these first few snaps it looks like we will be having some quality product once again from these big guns in protection. This is what they have to say:

“We are pleased to announce that Windwave has been appointed the new UK distributer for the Dainese mountain bike line of clothing and protection.

Dainese was founded in 1972 in Molvena Italy and set out to provide active customers with protection from “head to toe”. Dainese swiftly became a leader in the world of protective clothing and gear for motorcycling pioneering many features like the back protector, knee slider and now the air bag jacket. In 1995 Dainese applied their cutting-edge technology to mountain biking winning the downhill world championship with Nicolas Vouilloz. Looking to the future Dainese is developing a mechanical pressurized Bio-suit for NASA’s proposed first manned mission to Mars in 2030.

Peter Nisbet, Windwave’s managing director said “It really is an honour to have been chosen to represent Dainese for UK cycle distribution. Dainese is a market leading brand at the forefront of technological innovation”

The new 2013 Dainese product line features jerseys, shorts, gloves and a range of protection all designed for the best possible ergonomic fit and rider protection. Included in the range are the top-of-the range Oak Pro Alloy knee and elbow guards featuring the innovative Boa ® tensioning system and the F1 derived Pro-Shape and Crash-Absorb technology.

Dainese products will be available to pre-order from now with the first shipment due at the beginning of March.

Windwave will add Dainese to their prestigious brand list, which currently includes BBB, Marzocchi, Colnago, FSA, Vision, Nokon, A2Z , Ice Toolz and Gravity.
