2020 Team Ride It Out- Ohlins – Sponsorship Proposal

Established 17 years ago Ride It Out continues to grow as an international racing team and media brand. Our passion has always been racing, competing at an international level in Enduro and Downhill.

Our team bikes are custom built with highly desirable products. Combine this with unique race kit and what we run is on every rider upgrade wish-list.

Each team rider comes with a wealth of product knowledge to further bolster sales when the product and set up inquiries are received, whether it be at events, online or out on the trails.

What Team Ride It Out got up to in 2019:

2019 was a big season for us. With the team now in it’s 3rd year of management by elite rider Emyr Davies, we worked with some new bands while continuing to grow our relationship with others.  Some fresh riders onboard the team made for an exciting season.

Who are we?

The 2020 team consists of 3 of the UK’s best Downhill / Enduro Racers who are all highly active on social media. The team is managed by Emyr Davies owner of Ride.io and ex x2 Welsh champ and World Cup racer. We cover a range of events that will see your products promoted across a broad spectrum of the MTB market.

What we do?

We plan to put most of our focus on the UK race scene dominating podiums whilst having a strong presence at our pits for people to approach us and see your porducts displayed. We also will be making our mark on the Enduro World Series and Downhill World Cup Events.

How can we showcase Ohlins to the MTB market?:

1. Team Ride It Out Youtube Video Series:

Showing the highs and lows of competing at events around the globe and making inspirational riding segments.
These video’s help the public see the human and funny side of our team while getting a more in-depth look at the products we trust our lives with to perform.

2. We are a media-focused team:

Online content is essential in this predominantly perused online marketing battlefield. We absolutely understand the growing importance of unique quality online content. All Ride It Out Team athlets are breifed and are expected to produce weekly content.

3. Strategic Social Media Planning:

Our Strategic Social Media Planning will see a constant and regular stream of social media content. Our riders are breifed when the most popular online user times are, so they can best showcase your products to the public.

4. Team Display bikes and Products:

Bikes will be polished and kit displayed on show at all events, we attend. Our mechanics will be clued up on all the latest product knowledge to help drive sales to your product.

5. Team articles on the www.Ride.io 

Ride.io website’s dedicated Team Page, where our 100,000 monthly readers can follow and catch up on the team activities. The team page and every article will feature your brand logo and a link to your website creating a direct link to sales.

6. In-house video creation for YOUR brand.
This was filmed by Ride.io’s very own in-house production team.
We worked with our 2018 previous title sponsor to make this video showcasing their brand, in the 2018 Alpine E bike launch video.

7. Team Pits & Precense at events

We recognise the importance and value of demonstrating the abilities of your products directly to your consumers. As a result, the whole team will be attending The Malvrens Classic. 2018 we saw thousands of people attending and we will be there again in 2020 showcasing your products to the public.

2018 saw us doing a prize giveaway raffle, engaging team sponsor future customers with our product knowledge.

8. Access to team photos and videos for your Social Media Content;

Social Media is a beast that needs feeding! Let your followers see what your products are doing at the sharp end of racing.

We pay a photographer and/or a videographer for their services at 8 events a year aswell as doing a team photoshoot. We then upload their content to a Google Drive folder and send it our sponsors to use as they wish

This has proved useful for sponsors in 2019, and will be the same format in 2020

Our Team

Emyr Davies – Team Manager: 

Emyr is an accomplished racer and a unique personality; he has now become co-owner of Ride.io (along with his partner Meinir) and will be managing the team for 2020. He will aslo be doing a range of other riding projects/adventures for various mtb brands for next year.

Will Hart Elite DH / Enduro

Will Hart has had a stormer of a season! Scoring his first UK Elite Podium no easy feat. Will loves bikes through and through. If you ever meet him you’ll see his passion for our sport shines. 2020 will see Will’s 3rd season in Elite and full-on attacking the World Cups. We are excited to see what Will can do.

Dan Tay Elite Dh / Enduro

A South Wales ripper. Dan goes into his 4th year racing downhill in Elite. He established his speed last year qualifying 1st Elite at a UK national. No easy feat. Also Winning  a Welsh Gravity Enduro, he will be competing in both disciplines in 2020

    Jim Monro Elite DH/ Enduro

    Jim showed us some amazing tallent in 2019 as a Juniour. We’re confident that he will put down some fast time in his elite debue year of 2020. We can’t wait to see what this talented youngster can do.

                • Meinir Siencyn (Team videographer):

                  Meinir (also co owner of Ride.io) has been a Videographer for mainstream TV with twelve years experience under her belt and has been working on cycling related media for the last 11 years. She has been making video edits for Ride.io for the last 5 years. She will be in charge of documenting what the team get up to while showcasing their talent on bikes through the web series. She will also be producing video content for the Ride.io website and social media from race weekends
